So for anyone who has been living on MArs could the recent debt crisis be what makes Dubai bankrupt? It seems not. In the latest saga today, the Dubai government announced that Dubai World is an 'independent' entity and there seems to be a lot of confusion caused by the media?
Ok so whats the real truth then? The Dubai government seems to have been 'supporting' Dubai World but it must take some accountability on what has happened right? I mean all those investors who put their money into the projects that were run by giants such as Nakheel probably only backed them becuase of their reputation and credebility.
Sorry Dubai government, as much as I love Dubai, I think the oness IS on the government to pull their socks up and seek help.
Lets see what happens next......
Lets hear your views on this one guys.... _________________ Do not post URLs or Website addresses in your post. You can do this here in your signature. |

I think everything will be fine. Basicly what would be noticeable is that there will be less construction works in Dubai or that works will be going slower and that's it. So speaking of ordinary resident's life nothing will change much. Maybe the rental payments will be decreased. The only ones who will suffer is Nakheel and "the guys" who gave money to it, fortunately that's not me
Usually all sort of panic is made by mass-media. |

Will the government of Dubai default on its debt? Will that trigger a wave of defaults in other nations or in selected companies? With Dubai situated in the oil-rich Middle East, how could this nation be on the precipice of default?
If Dubai were to default, it would be the first nation to default on its debt since Argentina in 2001. Whether Russia in 1998, Argentina in 2001, Dubai currently, or a number of countries in the future, the weight of unbearable debt forces default. The fact is, this overwhelming debt burden is not localized but truly global in nature. Situations like Dubai should not surprise us. In fact, I would be surprised if we do not witness more nations facing default. _________________ Low Price DVD & Blu-Ray Box Sets
